Roles and Responsibilities of CLA Committee

1. To ensure the implementation of all instructions, guidelines and directions issued by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan regarding Co-Curricular Learning Activities (CLA).
2. To prepare and coordinate the annual plan and schedule of Co-Curricular Learning Activities in consultation with the Principal.
3. To provide opportunities to students for participation in literary, cultural, creative, social, artistic and other co-curricular activities.
4. To identify and encourage students with special interests and talents in various co-curricular activities.
5. To coordinate the conduct of competitions, quizzes, debates, elocution, drawing, music, dance, cultural programmes and other approved activities.
6. To ensure maximum participation of students in activities at school, regional and other appropriate levels.
7. To coordinate with teachers and other concerned committees for the smooth and timely conduct of activities.
8. To maintain proper records of activities conducted, student participation, achievements, prizes and certificates.
9. To ensure that activities are conducted in a safe, disciplined, inclusive and organised manner.
10. To encourage students to develop creativity, communication skills, leadership qualities, teamwork, confidence and a sense of responsibility through participation in activities.
11. To facilitate the selection and preparation of students for inter-school, regional and other competitions as applicable.
12. To submit reports, photographs, participation details and other required information to the Principal within the prescribed time.
13. To maintain proper documentation of major CLA activities for school records and reporting purposes.
14. To undertake any other CLA-related work assigned by the Principal from time to time.
