Construction of Vocational Lab
Under PM SHRI Initiative
The construction of a Vocational Laboratory in the Vidyalaya is currently in progress under the prestigious PM SHRI (Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India) initiative. This initiative aims to transform schools into modern, well-equipped institutions that promote skill-based education and holistic development among students.
An amount of ₹37.66 lakh has been sanctioned for the establishment of the Vocational Lab.
The entire sanctioned amount has been transferred to the Public Works Department (PWD) for execution of the construction work as per approved guidelines and specifications.
The construction work commenced in accordance with the approved plan and is being carried out under strict supervision. At present, approximately 70% of the work has been completed. The major structural components, including the foundation, walls, roofing, and basic framework, have been successfully completed.
Currently, finishing work such as plastering, flooring, electrical installations, and fittings is in progress. The work is being executed with due attention to quality, safety standards, and durability to ensure a long-lasting and functional facility.
The Vocational Lab is being developed to provide students with hands-on experience and practical exposure in various skill-based domains. It aligns with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes vocational education and experiential learning.
The Vidyalaya administration is regularly monitoring the progress of the construction work in coordination with PWD officials. Periodic inspections are being conducted to ensure that the project remains on schedule and meets the required standards.
It is expected that the remaining construction work will be completed within the stipulated timeframe. Upon completion, the Vocational Lab will be equipped with modern tools, equipment, and resources, making it fully operational for student use.
The establishment of this Vocational Lab will significantly enhance the infrastructure of the Vidyalaya and provide students with valuable opportunities to develop practical skills, thereby improving their future employability and overall learning outcomes.
Overall, the progress of the project is satisfactory, and all necessary efforts are being made to ensure its timely and successful completion.
